10 May 2017
Ángeles Venero sent a photo of her daughter, Raquel, in a nurse's uniform. Raquel is finishing her nursing studies.

Carmen: How proud I am... Thank you for sending it to me!

Ángeles: No wonder you're proud. You've had a lot to do with her success. Thanks to you!

(Ángeles Venero, Raquel's mother)

Happy 2015, a year of hope for us. I wish your dreams come true too. Fight, fight, because, as Carmen Alonso says, the opportunity you were waiting for always comes, and there is always something that can be done. I will never forget it and I will never know how to thank the whole Foundation for the good they have done for us.

(Natalia Salvador, mother of Nicolás, text shared by her on Facebook)

Thank you for giving Marina a chance, for being there whenever I need you, whether it was a bank holiday or a late night. I will never be able to thank you for everything you do. Thank you for existing. Give thanks from me to all the people who form the Foundation.

(Encarna, mother of Marina, Murcia)
Elia
22 October 2015
The other day in Bilbao, Elia explained to parents who are having a baby with achondroplasia what ALPE means to her and her family, and what ALPE will be for them. She said: "Look, ALPE is tranquillity, family, clothing. It is our protective mattress".

(Elia Salvador, mother of Oier, one of the mothers who has been with ALPE for many years)

Thank you very much for the information. I would like to thank you for all your work, and to tell you that I found all the documents posted on your ALPE Foundation page very useful: the guide to achondroplasia, percentiles, etc. It is the first achondroplastic child I have assessed. Your support to the parents of Gabriel, after the shock of having a son with achondroplasia, has been invaluable too.

I will try to put into words what these 365 days since the birth of our son have meant for us. It was the hardest year, the most distressing year, but also the best year of our lives. And thanks to you, Carmen; because you have been with us, this is a much easier road to travel. Thank you for being so cheerful and positive. From a cry, you give us a smile. You will never know how much you mean to us.

(Diego, Diego's father, Barcelona)
